Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton

This week on  Indiana Newsdesk:

A national shortage of nurses made worse by the pandemic has opened the door for a booming travel nurse industry. A big perk is travel nurses can make two to three times more than a staff nurse, but that is taxing hospitals’ budgets.

Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton announced this week he will not be seeking a third term in office. Ahead, we talk with the mayor about his accomplishments and what he’d still like to get done.

And the Bartholomew County Public library is responding to concerns about what material is available in the teen section.

Those stories and the latest news headlines from across the state, Friday at 6 on  Indiana Newsdesk.
