In one of the most anticipated matchups of the young college basketball season, No. 10 Indiana will host No. 18 North Carolina in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge Wednesday.

It’s the last year for the challenge, where the 14 schools in each conference play each other over a series of three nights. The challenge began in 1999.

North Carolina was ranked No. 1 the first three weeks of the season before losing two games last weekend. IU head coach Mike Woodson expects the best out of the Tar Heels.

"They have their backs against the wall. I mean, so, I'm not taking this team lightly," Woodson said. "They got a great team, they're well coached. And we're gonna have to come out and commit ourselves for 40 minutes to beat him."

"We're hoping that we get Kentucky, which I think is gonna possibly happen here in the future. So that's, you don't get much bigger than that either."

The same two schools will meet in the women’s challenge Thursday, when No. 5 IU hosts sixth-ranked UNC.
