The Bloomington Craft Beer Festival is returning April 15, after a four-year absence. The festival was forced into a break due to the pandemic.

Julia Whitson is the executive director of the Brewers of Indiana Guild. She says planning for such an event can take up to a year.

“Securing the venue, the space, the date and the time to do that, if that’s not available it makes all the next steps a little harder,” she said.

There will be live music, local vendors, blow-up games and a variety of merchandise vendors available. Sellers will include t-shirts, paintings, and home decor.

The beer festival will provide a space for designated drivers, who will be able to purchase a $10 wrist band and receive non-alcoholic beverages.

“It is a lot less expensive of a ticket and it is a way to encourage, if bringing a group, having someone who can safely drive everyone home,” Whitson said.

The  event is Saturday from 2 -6 p.m. at the Woolery Mill.
