Monroe County Community Schools is asking for a referendum on the ballot this fall, one year after the county passed the last school refererendum. MCCSC cites a new law capping referendum income as the reason for the request. 

To help with the cost of higher education, Ivy Tech is giving high schoolers a chance to earn early college credit. The program can shave as much as a year off a student's college requirements.
