Bloomington woman killed in single-car accident in Greene County

A Bloomington woman was killed and a passenger injured in a one-car accident on I-69 in southeast Greene County Tuesday afternoon.

Tonya Allgood, 49, was driving southbound on I-69 near mile marker 98 at 2:42 p.m. when her 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer veered off the roadway and into the median, according to a Greene County Sheriff Office news release.

Her car re-entered the roadway, overturned and entered a ditch on the north side of the interstate.

Allgood was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead. A juvenile passenger in her car was taken to IU Health Bloomington. The juvenile's condition is not known.
