High pressure is bringing extreme temperatures to central Indiana this week.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s by Wednesday. Heat index values are expected to reach 105 degrees this week, according to the National Weather Service Indianapolis.
Southern Indiana counties are now under heat advisory, which will remain in effect through Friday.
Seven fire stations in Monroe County will operate cooling stations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this week. The Kennedy Drive station will not be a location this time due to construction.
Indianapolis parks are available this week as cooling centers.
