Foreign farmland ownership, Crispus Attucks Museum, Bloomington annexation | Indiana Newsdesk

Last year, Indiana became one of the first states to enact legislation limiting foreign ownership of agricultural land, citing national security reasons. A little more than two percent of farmland in the state is owned by foreign entities.

A new exhibit at the Crispus Attucks Museum in Indianapolis aims to educate people on the history of racist violence in the state. The exhibit was seven years in the making and its curators are hoping to take it on the road.

And a ruling this week by a judge postpones the fate of two areas of Monroe County the City of Bloomington wants to annex.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Perry Metz arrived at WFIU in 2003 following a career in university administration.
