St. Charles Catholic School has received the National Blue Ribbon from the U.S. Department of Education yesterday.
The Ribbon is given based on student and school performance and on ratings in language arts, math and other subjects.
Both public and private schools in operation for more than five years can win the recognition.
Principal Victoria Arthur said, “It gives them (students) a sense of all their hard work that they do day in and day out, the expectations that our teacher and staff put on our students for high achieving standards kind of come together as a way for them to see that hard work does pay off.”
