Indiana University police responded to an armed robbery at McNutt Quad around 3 a.m. Sunday.

According to an IUPD release, the student victim said they attended an off-campus party with a group they met online earlier that night.

The suspect offered to drive the student back to campus. The suspect was described as a mixed-race male around 20 years old with tattoos and a buzz cut.

The man drove the student to the 13th Street parking lot, where he battered the student with a handgun. The man stole the student’s phone, wallet, backpack, watch and shoes from the student. The suspect drove away in a sedan.

IUPD is still investigating the situation. The student was taken to Monroe Hospital for minor injuries.
