Inmate escapes Edinburgh facility

UPDATE: Marion Jaynes was found and taken back into custody around 3:30 p.m.

The Indiana Department of Correction is searching for a man who escaped the Edinburgh Correctional Facility. Marion Jaynes was last seen Monday around 11 a.m. near Harding and Lambert in Indianapolis. 

Jaynes was seen driving a 2006 blue Dodge Dakota, license plate TK699MLU. 

Jaynes is serving a 20-year sentence at the facility for burglary. The minimum-security facility is located in Camp Atterbury. 

The corrections department is requesting that anybody who sees the incarcerated individual or the vehicle contact police immediately.
