Garage parking will be free every Saturday in December, the city has announced. The change will accommodate holiday events. Additionally, street parking will be free on Christmas.
City garage parking locations are listed below:
- Fourth Street Garage (105 W. Fourth St.) is recommended for parking near the Courthouse and Kirkwood Avenue.
- Trades District Garage (489 W. 10th St.) is recommended for parking near City Hall and the Dimension Mill.
- Morton Street Garage (245 W. Seventh St.) is recommended for parking near City Hall and the B-Line Trail.
- Walnut Street Garage (300 N. Walnut St.) is recommended for parking near the Courthouse and North Walnut shops.
Street and garage parking will continue to be free on Sundays. Regular parking rates are 50 cents per hour in city garages. More information for city parking can be found here.
Indiana University parking enforcement has not changed. Parking is free on Christmas. CH and ST zones are not enforced from Dec. 16 through Jan. 7.
