Noblesville makes $1 from each ticket sold at the venue. Additionally, the venue generated $2.6 million in tax revenue for the city.
Robert Herrington, press secretary for the mayor’s office, said the money is used to pay off
bonds for infrastructure improvements around the amphitheater.
Additional city revenues also have been put toward road improvements near the music center. Herrington said the infrastructure projects have cost $73.8 million since 2007.
This year, the center hosted acts including Janet Jackson, Dave Matthews Band, Post Malone, Shania Twain, Fall Out Boy, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, Pantera, Matchbox Twenty, Zac Brown Band, Mudvayne, Luke Bryan, Nickelback, The Offspring, Pentatonix, Disturbed, ODESZA, The Smashing Pumpkins, Jason Aldean and Jelly Roll.
The center also hosted Farm Aid, the first time since 2001, with headliners John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson, alongside Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Bob Dylan, Margo Price and more.
