Indiana women’s basketball standout Mackenzie Holmes has been named third team All-America by the Associated Press.

It’s the third straight year the fifth-year center has been named an All-American. She was a first team selection last year and honorable mention in 2022.

Holmes averaged team-highs of 20 points and 6.9 rebounds and led the nation in field goal shooting percentage (66.7). She was also a unanimous first team All-Big Ten selection for the second year in a row.

Holmes and the fourth-seeded Hoosiers will open play in the NCAA tournament at home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against No. 13 seed Fairfield. If they win, the Hoosiers will play either Oklahoma or Florida Gulf State on Monday at 4 p.m. for a spot in the Sweet 16.
