Trent Deckard, David Henry and Cheryl Munson have won the Democratic nominations for three at-large county council seats up for election this year.

Deckard has served on the council since 2019. He has cited a lack of access to affordable housing, childcare and food as issues for the county address.

Henry is the current chair of the Monroe County Democratic Party. He’ll fill the vacancy that will be left by Geoff McKim, who was first elected in 2008 but is not seeking reelection.

Henry will remain party chair through 2024. His term expires in January 2025.

He has said his priorities include securing Monroe County's economic future and addressing poverty and high housing costs.

Munson is serving her third council term. She has said her priorities include affordable housing, food security, improving justice and mental health systems, mitigating increasing temperatures and major rain events and growing transportation connectivity.

At-large county council members represent the entire county.

None of these candidates have an opponent in the Nov. 5 general election.
