Indiana University football 4-0 after win over Charlotte

A third of the way through the season, the Indiana football team is 4-0 and has the nation’s fifth-highest scoring offense.

The Hoosiers wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule Saturday with a fifty-two to fourteen win over Charlotte. This season, they’re averaging 50.5 points per game.

First year head coach Curt Cignetti is confident in the unit heading into conference play Saturday against Maryland.

“We got a lot of guys on offense that have played successful winning football, and now they're taking it to the Big 10,” Cignetti said.

The defense, which like the offense, was overhauled in the offseason. They’ve given up just thirty-seven total points in four games.

I think this team has learned a lot. I think they've developed some pretty strong intangibles,” Cignetti said. “We certainly have strong character on this football team, and we're looking forward to what's ahead.”

Indiana looks to go 5-0 Saturday at home against Maryland. Kickoff is at noon.
