Conservation officers in Vigo County are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive behind his home Monday. He was later pronounced dead.
The officers found 51-year-old Mike Pastorious near the 7500 block of East Devonald Avenue. His autopsy found multiple blunt force injuries and other contributing medical issues.
Officer investigation believes Pastorious fell from a hunting stand. His body was found 30 feet from the deer hunting stand that was 15 feet in the air.
Officers note he was not wearing a full-body safety harness.
