Monroe County staffed more poll workers than usual this election, anticipating big crowds, lines out the door and long waits. But poll workers say that didn’t happen and things went smoothly.
Thom Clemons is a poll worker at Ellettsville Christian Church. He says there’s still time to make it to the polls — as long as you’re in line by 6 p.m.
"Even if the line's out to the road, you're going to get to vote."
Sherwood Oaks Church didn't see as many voters come in as they expected. About 2,000 people are registered to vote at this location, but not even a third (about 665 people) have come on election day. This could be due to higher early voter turnout. @WFIUWTIUNews — Isabella Vesperini (@IVesperini) November 5, 2024
