The only addition to Monroe County’s school board is Tiana Williams Iruoje for District 4. She ran unopposed.
Cathy Fuentes-Rohwer, who had held the seat since the seat since 2017, did not file for re-election.
Incumbents April Hennessey, Erin Cooperman, and Ross Grimes also ran unopposed and won their respective seats: District 2, District 5, and District 6.
School board races are nonpartisan. Residents in the MCCSC districts can vote for all four seats.
Responsibilities of school boards include planning, policy, meetings, budget, student issues, personnel, community relations and contract negotiations.
