Avian flu infects wild birds, new HVAC regulations, IU Indianapolis reclassification | Indiana Newsdesk

The avian flu that has ravaged chicken and turkey flocks in the state has migrated to wild birds such as cranes and geese. Around 200 dead sandhill cranes were found outside Seymour this week.

Regulations for a new class of refrigerants may mean having to replace your HVAC system rather than repairing it. And that can be expensive. At Ivy Tech, students are learning how to work with the new refrigerants, which are more environmentally friendly but also more flammable.

And IU Indianapolis has been classified as a Research One institution, thanks to a change in the classification system.
