Interview lineup set for vacant Monroe County school board seat

The Monroe County Community School Corp. board will interview four candidates Thursday to fill a vacant seat.

Former board president Brandon Shurr resigned without explanation last month from his seat representing District 7. That area includes parts of Bloomington and Perry townships.

The candidates are Aja Jester, Cori Thornton-Hammock, Blake Garland-Tiado, and Gabriel Holbrow.

The board will conclude the night by recommending one of the candidates for trustee.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22.
