The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced it will be transitioning from paper maps to paperless at Indiana State Parks.

The DNR spends over $110,000 annually to print maps for the state parks. The cost savings of going paperless will support state parks’ operations.

Printed maps for Indiana State Parks have been recently ordered and there should be enough for this year’s recreation season. The transition to paperless will occur once the supply runs out.

Visitors will be able access the state park maps on the DNR mobile app or the department’s website.
