Baby Brilliance is a weekly program for children birth through eighteen months and their caregivers, older siblings are always welcome. Each week participants will explore themes related to infant development. Inspired by the book, “Experimenting with Babies,” by Shaun Gallagher.

This December, Discovery Time invites young scientists to wiggle, roar, crawl, and explore the wild world of animals! Through music, art, storytelling, and imaginative movement, children will discover how animals move, communicate, adapt, and survive in different habitats. From furry forest creatures to ocean swimmers and desert dwellers, each week highlights a new animal group with hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and wonder.

Science Story Time is geared toward listeners toddler through early elementary ages. This program uses children’s picture books to engage as well as support scientific concepts and experiments. Young scientists develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the hands-on program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All are welcome.
Curiosity Lab is an after-school, free play program for kids ages 6-10 years. Children are invited to explore, experiment, and engage in hands-on sensory activities at their own pace. No instructions, no pressure—just curiosity-driven play
The Spencer Pride Banned Book Club is a program of Spencer Pride, an LGBTQ+ center located in Spencer, Indiana. We meet monthly to discuss books that have been challenged or banned. Celebrate the season at Wylie House Museum. Step into the warmth and charm of 19th-century holiday traditions at the historic Wylie House Museum, beautifully adorned with fresh garlands and greenery.
Free Traditions Tours are offered on Friday and Saturday, December 12–13 and 19–20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tours begin every hour on the hour, with the final tour starting at 3 p.m.
Each guided tour offers a glimpse into holiday customs of the past, featuring festive history and personal stories from the Wylie family. Before or after your tour, be sure to visit the Education Center next door for cookies and craft activities, available throughout the day.
