A juvenile is in custody in the Morgan County Jail who investigators believe is connected to a double homicide in Owen County on Saturday.

Owen County Sheriff Ryan White said at a press conference Saturday evening that officers responded to a call around 3:42 that afternoon about a gunshot victim in the 1500 block of Truesdel Rd., north of Spencer.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two males – 61-year-old Jeffrey Fauber and 41-year-old Grantham Chandler – dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

“This investigation is tragic, and I'm lost for words on such a horrendous violation to these two victims,” White said.

Shortly after the bodies were discovered, at around 4 p.m., a male juvenile entered the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department “advising there was an incident in Owen County that was criminal in nature,” according to a post on the Martinsville Police Department’s Facebook page.

Martinsville Police Department identified and detained the juvenile.

The case is under investigation by the Owen County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Indiana State Police, Martinsville Police Department and Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
