What's New: April 2010

This week on Afterglow Kurt Elling returns with a new CD, The Gate, that finds the singer exploring his usual wide range of song choices--this time from artists such as Miles Davis, King Crimson, and Joe Jackson.

Charlie Haden's longstanding torch-ballad group Quartet West checks in as well with its recent release, Sophisticated Ladies, which brings some of the modern popular-song vocal scene's biggest names on board for a trip through the standards.
