This week on Afterglow we'll feature singer Madeleine Peyroux's new CD, Half the Perfect World.
This followup to her 2004 hit Careless Love finds Peyroux casting the same warm, jazz-chanteuse spell with her vocals, this time on songs by Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, and co-written originals such as the poignant relationship retrospective "Once in a While."
We'll also hear music from Chris Connor, Milt Jackson, Brad Mehldau, Kay Starr, and others.
