Episode 71 - Discussing The 2012 Oscar Nominations
On this week's episode it's Oscar time, and we're discussing the nominations. We had so much to talk about we couldn't fit it all into one episode. We cover snubs, screenplays, short films, and some of the lesser-discussed categories.
But we start out with What Have You Seen Lately. Jason discusses Essential Killing, while Andy talks about Once Upon a Time in Anatolia. We then get into a group discussion of the Iris Film Festival.
We then get into a long discussion of the Oscar nominees, starting off with any snubs we might have noticed, including a discussion of the revelation of digital actors. We then move into the Oscar-nominated shorts, and finish up with the screenplay categories.
