A Place For Film - Discussing The Iris Film Festival

Episode 65 - Discussing The Iris Film Festival

On this weeks episode, we're inviting Laura Ivins-Hulley from the Communication and Culture Department to talk about the Iris Film Festival which is coming up on January 28th at 7pm. We discuss the entry requirements for the festival, which awards will be given, and what attendees can expect at the festival.

We start with What Have You Seen Lately, and Jason and Andy saw almost all the same movies this week. We're talking Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, Young Adult, The Descendants, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Find out which ones we liked and which ones are skippable.

We then discuss the Iris Film Festival, and finish up with a discussion of the student film events at the Cinema recently. There was a lot of great stuff during those events, and some of it will likely show up at the Iris Film Festival, so check it out on January 28th.

Submitted films must be received by the festival by January 20th.
