A Place For Film - Heartland 2011: 'Nathan And The Luthier'

Heartland Film Fest Interview - Nathan And The Luthier

In this interview, we revisit Nathan And The Luthier, a film that premiered at the IU Cinema in April of 2011, about a man in his mid-30s who returns home after his father's death.

It was recently accepted into Heartland, so we sat down with the writer/director Jacob Sherry and producer Jon Stante to talk about the success of getting into a major film festival, the casting, and some of the challenges of making a student film not look like a student film. We also answer the question, "Just what is a luthier?"

You can also check out Episode 29 of the IU Cinema Podcast to hear our original interview with Jacob Sherry, done just before Nathan And The Luthier premiered.
