Alternative Energies, Alternative News: Wind Energy and...Urine?

We like to cover the different events happening with alternative energies here at Earth Eats, and this week is no different. The stories about hydrogen and wind power are a bit off-kilter this week, but interesting nonetheless.

First, hydrogen. Congress agreed to restore funding to movements that will help develop hydrogen-powered cars. Good, normal news right? Well, try this one: Scientists have developed a technology that will convert urine into hydrogen. URINE. How nuts is that?

As for wind power, the movement took a few minor hits this week, as it was reported North Carolina lawmakers didn't want to put wind farms all around the beautiful western part of the state and that wind farms are killing loads of bats. And in an ironic turn of events, the biggest issue people have when moving wind turbines is...the wind.
