Nearly 23,000 pounds of ground beef have been recalled in a recent E. coli scare. E.coli O157:H7 was found in samples of beef, prompting a Class I recall -- meaning that consuming the meat could result in serious illness or death.
The affected meat has a sale date of June 14, 2013 and was produced on May 25, 2013. All products are marked with "EST. 208A."
Officials are warning consumers to check their frozen goods to see if any stored beef is affected.
So far, no illnesses have been reported in conjunction with with recall.
