Hope For California Homemade Food Ban

Homemade food is prized in some circles, and a lot of pride and effort goes into producing small batches of unique foods.

Don't get caught selling products made from your home kitchen in California -- the state's no homemade law is so strict even bake sales aren't allowed (unless they benefit charity.)

Artisanal foods are on the rise across the country -- the recession has brought out many home cooks sharing their creative side, and looking to make a buck.

Thirty states have laws allowing the sale of homemade goods; however they vary from state to state.

Some handcrafted advocates are drafting a law that would allow homemade goods in California, and hopefully make an impact in the economically depressed state.
