Let Mother Nature Do The Work For You

"You can conserve in your personal life, but for your business that's not really an option. You need power to run a business.

That's Susan Welsand, also known as The Chile Woman. Thanks to a 5.2 kilowatt array of solar panels, she is able to run every aspect of her business using the power of the sun.

The guys at Bread & Roses Gardens are back. They've watched as a pile of old mulch has transformed into an elaborate fungal network that is a hot spot for morels and oyster mushrooms. Those stories about farmers letting Mother Nature do the heavy lifting.

And in the kitchen, Chef Daniel Orr makes two salads featuring one of the first veggies to pop up in the spring garden: asparagus.
