Overseas Cereals To Get Healthier Makeover

In response to growing health concerns, a joint venture between Nestle and General Mills aims reduce the amount of sugar and salt in children's cereals outside of North America.

According to the companies, twenty cereal brands will be reformulated for an average 24 percent reduction in sugar and 12 percent reduction in sodium by 2015.

It's unclear if the companies plan to make similar changes in children's cereal marketed in North America.
