Five Foodie Video Series For Your Viewing Pleasure

Each week, Earth Eats shares a comprehensive list of links to food media outlets, including but not limited to  filmbooksphoto blogs, websites and podcasts.

This week's link list returns to short film, bringing you artistic and highly informative video series, all of which highlight the importance of small-scale food production and fresh ingredients. Take a break from reading by watching these gorgeous videos and learning through the perspectives of those who know food best.

The Perennial Plate

Daniel Klein and Mirra Fine, the creative duo behind The Perennial Plate, present beautiful short videos about sustainable, socially responsible food and travel. Over one hundred episodes showcase perspectives from around the globe, and the artisans – from udon noodle masters in Japan to kombucha producers in America – take viewers back to the origins of good, clean food.

Food Curated

Storyteller Liza de Guia presents the people and ideas behind restaurants and food trucks, fisheries and farms. Each short video shows the food artisans' intimacy and love for fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch recipes.

Foodable TV

With video channels, recipes, blog posts, infographics and trending reports, Foodable has just about everything. Ten different shows are available for viewing and range in topic from restaurant dining, food marketing and gastronomy to bar scenes, recipes and food-related social media.

MAD

MAD is a non-profit founded in 2011; the title stems from the Danish word for food. It is a series of videos and lecture symposiums that aims to bring together farmers, purveyors, cooks and all those hoping to improve the restaurant trade.

Veria Living's Under the Sun

Host Nathan LeRoy travels the globe in search of locally-grown, organic foods, learning techniques of the trade and sampling fresh homemade meals straight from the farm. Through charming, highly informative and intimate interviews, viewers quickly learn that small-scale organic farming is at the heart of simple, healthy living.
