Drink Up!

This composer's first symphony was a flop. Critics and audiences were universal in their disdain and the young composer was crushed, and did not compose until nearly three years later, after undergoing psychiatric treatment. And it didn't help that the conductor of the premiere was drunk on the podium and had made huge cuts to the score during rehearsals.
