The Meetings of the Mind

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spent his youth traveling across Europe

with his father and sister to play concerts and attract potential patrons. His performances were warmly received in many places, but they did not always yield the planned financial benefits. These frequent tours also took a toll on the young Mozart's health.

While in LONDON, he had the special treat of meeting and befriending Johann Christian Bach. At eight years old, Mozart would sit on J.C. Bach's lap at the organ, and the two composers would play organ together. Mozart based this concerto movement on a sonata by J.C. Bach, who was also known as the " LONDON" Bach.
