  • Alexander Borodin was a composer in his spare time, but a chemist by trade!
  • The opera and symphony Die Harmonie Der Welt by Paul Hindemith is about the life of the famous astronomer Johannes Kepler.
  • English astronomer William Herschel, the man who discovered the planet Uranus, was also a composer in the same vein as Joseph Haydn.
