1987: Jazz For The Big Dance In New Orleans

Here in Indiana, Hoosier Hysteria is in full mode, as underdog/Bulldog Butler advances to the NCAA men's basketball championship tonight. The last time an Indiana men's basketball team went all the way to actually win the championship was in 1987, when Keith Smart made "The Shot" to give Bobby Knight's IU Hoosiers a one-point victory over Syracuse. The game was played in New Orleans.

The other day I came across this clip of CBS' jazzy introduction to the broadcast. Listen closely; it features a group led by Wynton Marsalis.
