Indiana ranks second in the nation for the number of 2-17 year olds who take medication for ADHD, according to Centers for Disease Control statistics.
Indiana falls just below Louisiana with 9 percent of children diagnosed with the disorder and taking medication, while 2.7 percent have been diagnosed but are not taking medication.
The CDC indicates the rates reflect a rise in ADHD diagnosis throughout the country.
