David Malone is Rector of the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan, where he holds the rank of Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations. A former president of the International Peace Institute, he is frequently quoted on international affairs, especially relations between the United States and the United Nations.
Dr. Malone previously served as president of Canada's International Development Research Centre, a funding agency that supports policy-relevant research in the developing world.
