The number of patients at Brown County’s Wellness for Life Clinic doubled during its first year in business.

Brown County Schools opened the clinic last January to increase access to affordable healthcare for employees and members of the public.

The clinic started with about 450 patients and now has 1,000.

Rodney Clark, Business Development Manager for Wellness for Life, says The demand illustrates the need for more healthcare options in the rural community.

“That’s where wellness for life has stepped in and that’s been their mantra for a while to fix the broken health care system as we see it.”

The clinic is also partnering with local businesses to spread the word about its services.
