Kroger is remodeling its store on South Liberty Drive on the westside of Bloomington.
The $6.8 million renovation will not increase the square footage of the store.
The bakery, floral and produce departments will all be relocated. The deli department will also move and there will be a new seating area with WiFi.
Kroger added a fuel center at the westside location in November.
Over the past five years Kroger has spent $34.7 million on expansions and renovations to its three other Bloomington locations.
The nearly $10 million renovation at the College Mall location last year, made that Kroger the largest in the state.
In a statement President of Kroger Central Division Jeff Burt wrote, "Once we finish the Liberty Drive store project, Bloomington will have the most up-to-date mix of food stores in Indiana."
