Cincinnati Child Dies After Being Found In Indiana Reservoir

Authorities say a five-year-old Cincinnati child has died after being pulled from a reservoir in eastern Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says a 10-year-old girl was swimming Tuesday afternoon at Brookville Lake in Franklin County when she made contact with what she thought was a body. She got her father, who pulled the five-year-old from the water.

Conservation officers soon found the child's parents, who had been looking for the child for five to 10 minutes at Mounds Beach.

The DNR says the child was taken by air to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and was pronounced dead. The death is under investigation.
