Anonymous Billboard Disturbs Indianapolis Muslim Community

Members of the Indianapolis Muslim community are calling a new billboard on I-465 "disturbing."

The billboard features the words "The Perfect Man" which concerned Muslim members say is in reference to the founder of Islam, the Prophet Muhammad, followed by a list of bullet points. Some points include "married 6-year-old", "slave owner & dealer", and "13 wives, 11 at one time."

Islamic Society of North America Communications Coordinator Faryal Khatri says the billboard's claims are untrue.

"It's a very, very disturbing billboard, and it's very disturbing that it makes those claims against our Prophet."

The owner of the sign is unknown, but the words "Educate Truthophobes" line the bottom of the billboard.

A search of the word "Truthophobes" brings up multiple anti-Muslim groups and specifically an Australian website carrying similar messages.
