The City of Greencastle has elected Democrat Bill Dory as its next mayor.
Two-term Democratic Mayor Sue Murray did not seek re-election. Dory went up against Republican Haywood Ware, formerly the mayor of Pflugerville, Texas.
Dory, the executive director of the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center, won with a total of 971 votes, just more than 57 percent of vote.
