Indiana is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation for armed robberies at pharmacies.
That's according to the Drug Enforcement Administration, which says all robberies must be reported by the pharmacy in which they took place.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil says pharmacies are a target for criminals because of their resources.
"Pharmacies, you're talking about a lot of different things that they have under their control that are wanted by the criminal ailment," he says. "You're talking about drugs, money, supplies, everything you could think of right there. It's a very risky security risk right there, no question."
Law requires all pharmacy robberies, even those that are unsuccessful, to be reported to the DEA.
