Indiana University's football team has its work cut out this week as players prepare to go up against the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Fresh off a 35-28 win over Wake Forest University on Saturday, Indiana Hoosiers Head Coach Kevin Wilson is praising the team but says although there were many positives to build on, players have improvements to make in preparation for its next game.
"We did have what we felt was solid contributions in all three phases, which we need," Wilson says. "We need that on the road. We'll need that in conference play. I think we've had that a couple weeks. We've got to continue to advance in all phases."
Senior quarterback Nate Sudfeld also voiced his excitement for the team's win, but the says the Hoosiers are "back to 0-o."
"We're not gonna make them more than what [Ohio State] are," Sudfeld says. "They're a very good team, very talented, but we need to come to work each day and keep improving as a team."
The Hoosiers are at a 4-0 start to the season — the first time since 1990 — as they head into their first game against a Big Ten Conference opponent.
IU will face Ohio State at Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
