Good Morning! Here are some of the stories we are following today!
1. Some Indiana counties are misusing 911 fees
According to a report by WTHR, more than 50 Indiana counties have been misusing money from 911 fees that come from phone bills.
The fee was increased from $0.90 to $1.00 this past summer, but some counties have been spending thousands of dollars on disallowed expenses like county building projects or drug testing.
2. Indiana to receive federal money to help fund higher blends of renewable fuels.
Indiana and 20 other states will share $100 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help fund higher ethanol blended gasoline.
The money will be matched by the states participating, and could lead to raising the ethanol found in gasoline from 10 to 15%.
3. Governor Pence orders that flags fly at half staff today to honor those who died in the September 11th terrorist attacks.
There will also be a candlelight ceremony later this evening to honor those who died in the attacks.
The memorial begins at 8 p.m tonight at the 9/11 Memorial in Indianapolis.
