1. USDA approves disaster declaration for eight more Indiana counties
The U-S Department of Agriculture has approved eight more counties for a secretarial disaster declaration, after heavy rains this summer washed out crops throughout the state.
These eight additional counties include Clark, Fulton, Morgan, Owen, Rush, Shelby, White, and Whitley counties.
2. Attorney General Greg Zoeller says sex trafficking is thriving in Indiana
In an op-ed written in the Indy Star, Attorney General, Greg Zoeller says that sex trafficking is thriving in Indiana.
Zoeller says the average lifespan of someone working in the sex industry is only 34 years-old, and that the most common cause of death is homicide.
3. Indiana National Guard special forces group moving to Camp Atterbury next year
An Indiana National Guard Special Forces unit that is now stationed near Chicago will be moved to south-central Indiana next year.
Company A, 2/20th Special Forces Groupwill be station at Camp Atterbury by September 1, 2016.
