C-SPAN stopped by Indiana University on Thursday to feature IU President Michael McRobbie in a televised interview.
The so-called "2014 Big Ten Tour" is a month long C-SPAN series which sends a bus to 14 colleges, interviewing campus presidents and showcasing its content to students.
C-SPAN marketing representative Sara Zou said the visit gives students and residents in Bloomington an opportunity to learn about C-SPAN programming with the help of their interactive media bus.
"It's a dual purpose multi-demonstration tool," she said. "So we have the interactive side where people can learn about C-SPAN, learn more about our resources, more than just the television aspect of it, and we have a mobile production studio as well."
McRobbie took questions from a reporter and from callers, addressing topics such as paying student athletes, sexual assault, and student debt. He said the greatest challenge his administration faces is to provide a high-quality education students in Indiana can afford.
He said one way the school plans to prevent crippling debt is to build on their comprehensive approach to teaching financial literacy.
